The USB-C | USB-A dual socket with integrated voltage converter is a compact charging solution for your vehicle. It is suitable for connection to a 12V or 24V onboard electrical system in cars, lorries, buses, motorhomes or boats and reliably supplies power to USB-chargeable devices. It supports the fast-charging technologies Power Delivery (Port C), Quick Charge 2.0/3.0 (Ports A + C) and Samsung AFC (Ports A + C).
With a maximum output current of 3A via USB-C and 2.2A via USB-A, the USB socket reliably supplies power to a wide range of electronic devices: smartphones charge quickly, navigation devices operate without interruption, digital cameras and e-readers are ready for use again in no time, and even power-hungry tablets with large batteries can be charged efficiently. MP3 players and other USB devices with high power requirements also benefit from the high charging capacity.
Another possible application is supplying power to your display, such as the Victron GX Touch 50, when it needs to be installed at a considerable distance from the GX device, such as the Cerbo GX MK2. Depending on the distance, the power supply via USB may no longer be sufficient. In this case, you can ensure the transmission of information from the GX device to the display using an HDMI extension cable and supply power to the display via the USB socket installed nearby.

How do I install the USB-C | USB-A dual socket?
The socket is secured using just two screws, which are included in the scope of delivery. The pre-assembled cable, approximately 15cm long, enables quick and safe connection to your onboard electrical system. As the dual socket is surface-mounted, there is no need to allow for installation depth, unlike USB sockets that are recessed into the wall.
The compact design also allows installation in confined spaces – ideal for modern vehicle installations.
How safe and reliable is the USB-C | USB-A dual socket?
Thanks to integrated overload, reverse polarity and overtemperature protection, your devices and onboard electrical system are optimally protected at all times. The minimal standby power consumption of less than 5mA also helps preserve your vehicle battery.
