With the ultra-modern SunPower Maxeon cells and an efficiency of 24% as well as the advanced back-contact technology, you get the absolute maximum out of every available ray of sunlight - because by eliminating the conductor tracks on the front and moving them to the back of the module, there are no disturbing shadows on the light-sensitive surface, which means that significantly more sunlight can be absorbed and converted into electricity.
Thanks to the three integrated bypass diodes, the module output is significantly optimised under changing and varying lighting conditions. This intelligent technology ensures that even in the event of partial shading or uneven sunlight, the unaffected cell areas can continue to operate at maximum efficiency.

Back-contact technology
This technology allows the cell to absorb more light and convert the additional absorption into electrical energy. In contrast to conventional solar cells, the conductor tracks of the SunPower Maxeon solar cells used are connected to each other on the back (back-contact).By laying the cell tracks on the back, these tracks cannot cause shading, which significantly increases the module efficiency and at the same time creates an excellent visual appearance. The integrated bypass diodes in the junction box mean that the module can continue to produce electricity even when shaded or in low light conditions.
Robust, compact and lightweight design
The solar module is made of anodised, scratch-resistant aluminium hollow chamber profile and tempered glass with lotus effect, which in turn ensures maximum durability and longevity. The housing frame provides the module with stability to meet the requirements of mobile and outdoor use. The 3.2 mm tempered glass has a self-cleaning effect (lotus effect, although it should of course be cleaned from time to time if mounted flat) and, due to the pre-treatment, a very high light transmission, which is noticeable in an increased electricity yield.
The materials used and the design make the solar module light and compact compared to conventional 175Wp modules. Lightweight and compact is the right solution, especially when it comes to utilising the available space effectively or taking into account the load-bearing capacity of the roof or the payload of the motorhome.
Our recommendation
These modules are ideal for installation in off-grid systems or on motorhomes and boats, and we recommend operating them with a good MPPT controller to maximise the yield. Of course, the solar cell can also be operated with conventional PWM solar controllers (note the input voltage), but the advantage of an MPPT controller is an additional yield of approx. 20%.
If several solar modules are used, always connect them in series and only then allow them to be regulated down to the battery voltage in the MPPT solar charge controller. This makes the cabling more cost-effective (no Y-connectors are required for parallel connection), the loss on the line is lower as the solar power is transported to the charge controller via a low current at high voltage. The solar charge controller can also work in diffuse light, as the voltage of the solar modules is high due to the series connection. The module can also be used individually for 24V battery systems.
