Victron RS485 to USB interface cable - communication between energy meter and GX device

This interface cable enables communication between energy meters with RS485 connectivity and Victron GX communication units. It is required to connect energy meters, including the ET112, the ET340 or the EM540 from Victron, with GX devices, such as the Cerbo GX MK2 or the Ekrano GX. The measured values of the energy meter can be transmitted to the GX device in real time via this connection.
Energy meters are used in energy storage systems to record the power and energy flow of the entire system at the distribution box. They can also measure the output of a PV inverter and thus provide important data for energy management. The use of an energy meter is indispensable for optimising self-consumption - i.e. the best possible use of self-generated solar power - and for implementing a zero feed-in in an ESS (Energy Storage System).

Can the RS485 to USB interface cable be used for other energy meters?
