The practical B2B remote control (BBR) is the ideal control element for the tried-and-tested Buck Boost battery chargers from Sterling Power - recognisable by its striking red housing with white lettering. With the BBR, you get much more than just a simple remote control: the intelligent device works both as a passive information display, which continuously shows you all the important operating and charging data, and as an active control centre, which you can use to conveniently program, optimise and adapt many parameters and behaviours of your B2B charger to your individual requirements.

The 4 metre extension cable, which is already included in the scope of delivery, gives you maximum flexibility when installing your remote control. You can therefore install the BBR remote control in the optimum position for you, depending on your requirements and the available space - be it in the living area of your motorhome, in a clearly visible position in the cockpit of your boat or directly within reach of your favourite operating point.

• Live displays: Real-time display of battery-to-battery (BB) charger voltage and amperage.
• Customised charging profiles: Possibility to set customised charging profiles.
• Current limitation: Adjustment of the current to 65%, 85% or 100%.
• Deactivate float function: Removal of the float function for lithium profiles.
• Desulphation/equalisation settings: Activation of EQ mode for desulphation and equalisation charging.
• Adjustment of absorption voltage and time: Possibility to individually set absorption voltage (14.0-15.5 V), float voltage (12.6-14.0 V) and absorption time (0.5-6 hours).
• Ignition mode: Switching the ignition mode on and off.
• Backlight: Setting the duration of the backlight (10-250 seconds or permanent).
• Alarm buzzer: Activation or deactivation of the buzzer.

Note: The BBR remote control is compatible with the red B2B models of the Saturn series from Sterling Power, from 2023 onwards.

Why should you adjust the current limit?

In the standard setting, the charging booster works with 100% charging power, which can be reduced to 85% or 65%. Examples of why you might want to reduce the power:

• If there is sufficient solar charging in good weather, you can save fuel by reducing the B2B power.
• If the alternator is not powerful enough to recharge the starter batteries sufficiently
• Your battery supplier may recommend charging your battery at a lower amperage.
• Future-proofing. Install a B2B with high output now and be prepared for future upgrades to the alternator or battery system.
