The LiFePO4 55Ah BullTron Starter Polar has been specially developed to ensure reliable starting behaviour at all times and is the ideal replacement for conventional starter batteries based on lead, GEL or AGM and combines all the advantages of modern lithium iron phosphate technology in a high-performance solution. In addition to a weight reduction of up to 82%, it impresses with extremely high starting currents of up to 1400A even at temperatures of -20°C, long-lasting energy reserves with barely measurable self-dischargeand a stable voltage - even under high loads and demanding weather conditions.

In addition to the weight reduction and the other advantages mentioned, the 55Ah BullTron Starter Polar has a particular advantage in the temperature range. While conventional lead, GEL or AGM starter batteries lose a significant amount of power at low temperatures, this lithium starter battery remains reliably ready for use even in extreme cold. Thanks to specially designed cells, charging down to -20 °C and discharging down to -30 °C is possible - even without an integrated heater. This ensures reliable starting behaviour even in wintry conditions, where conventional starter batteries often reach their limits.

With its L5 housing, this 55Ah LiFePO₄ starter battery from BullTron fits perfectly into the existing battery holder of many vehicles and makes replacement with lead, GEL or AGM batteries particularly easy. Simply remove the old battery and install the new one. Is the 55Ah BullTron Starter Polar suitable for parallel or series connection?

Yes, the battery can be connected both in parallel and in series and is therefore suitable for flexible system voltages from 12V to 48V.

When connected in parallel in a 12V system, the total capacity is increased while the voltage remains constant. This allows longer running times and greater energy reserves to be realised without changing the existing on-board voltage.

Series connection to 24V, 36V or 48V systems is also possible. To ensure even voltage distribution and an optimum state of charge for all batteries, we recommend the use of external balancers to equalise between the batteries.

How safe is the lithium technology (LiFePO4) in BullTron batteries?

BullTron batteries use lithium iron phosphate technology (LiFePO4), currently the safest lithium technology on the market. All batteries consist of powerful and very durable (LiFePo4) cells and an integrated battery management system (BMS). The BMS permanently protects the individual cells and the entire battery against over/under voltage, over/under temperature, overload and short circuit (automatic shutdown without damage).
Premature battery failure due to external influences or incorrect use is effectively prevented by the BMS.
